  I recently visited my Marks and Spencers store in Harrogate where i met my mum after we both finished work. She works at asda just outside of town and i work in the Boots store, just a few yards away from the Marks and Spencer store, which i think makes this all the worse...
  Every time i go in this particular shop, i feel uneasy, as if i am being watched, and this visit was just the same. The store detective seemed to be following me and my mum everywhere we went, even came out of the door the same time as us after we had PAID and left!
  Being honest hard working people who just wanted something nice for tea and sought that as the best option this has upset me a great deal!!! I certainly wont be returning to this or any of the other Marks and Spencers branches ever again, and after telling this story to my Grandmother who is a regular customer of theirs, she wont be either!
  Why should we be made to feel like criminals when we have never done anything dishonest or illegal in our entire lives, just because we had work uniforms on, and the majority of people who shop in their are rich old ladies or business workers! This is completely judgemental on their part and i really think they need to re-think their entire attitude or they will end up loosing more decent customers like us

  In short, I received an e-mail offer from M&S with 25% off, any item I searched was out of stock or only have the large sizes available, I telephoned my local store (Salisbury) and enquired about physical stock, first staff member was helpful in taking my enquiry however never called back until the next day despite a commitment to call in 5 minutes, I followed call up next day to be asked "what do you want" (call has been recorded for verification) - the 25% offer is now over - I was told to call head office, spoke with Matthew in customer service (there's a conundrum) as I received no service. They had the item in store however were not willing to assist in any way.
  With large organisations this is often what happens, the focus is on what is convenient for the store and procedures rather than flexibility and assisting the client.
